Is America over its Codeine Addiction?

Is America finally over it’s Codeine Addiction?

Often times mentioned in Rap songs as Lean, Syrup, Drank, Mud and Juice . The Deadly concoction has been linked to many deaths in the past. The Pharmaceutical syrup is popular among the music industry and has influenced many artists like Future, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Young Thug, UGK, Soulja Boy and even Curt Cobain . The company ACTAVIS recently discontinued their supply of the syrup after popularization by Justin Bieber which skyrocketed prices to $3000 a pint.

Following the recent death of 27 year old Chicago star Fredo Santana many artists have taken to social media to speak out against the use of the deadly Juice.

A few weeks before Fredo’s death a rapper by the name of Mozzy started a Health Is Wealth campaign encouraging his fans to Kick The Cup . Since then we have seen tweets and posts from Karrueche Tran, Wiz Khalifa, Dj Mustard and more all advising fans that Lean Is Lame.

Karrueche Tran tweets " Lean is Weak AF #lame #corny #sorrynotsorry"

Waka Flocka tweets "Sippin lean eating pizza"

This is not the first time we have seen prescription drug related death and seizures. Pimp C, DJ Screw, Asap Yams, Big Moe and Lil Peep just to name a few have recently passed from the use/abuse of Pharmaceuticals. Let us know, is America finally ready to give up the cup?
